Tummy time is crucial for your baby’s development.
“Tummy Time” is a cute name that describes exactly what it is, it’s the time that a baby spends on their tummy and because it’s super important for baba’s development, it should be started as soon as you both get home from hospital.
Place your baby on your chest, on the floor, or in their cot; in a fully horizontal position, or at more of an angle. It’s the best way for your newborn to build head, neck and shoulder strength. They begin to interact and react to their environment which leads to greater physical and social development.
A “Back to Sleep, Tummy to Play” approach is recommended by the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics), so moms, let’s get your babies on their tums for these fun activities, Dr Chantel shows you how!
